Bridging the Gap: CaST's University Transition Program

The transition from high school to university can be overwhelming for both parents and students. With the newfound independence of living away from home, managing the small aspects of grown-up life, and navigating new social connections, it's no wonder that many students struggle to adapt to the rigorous demands of post-secondary learning.

In fact, the average university course is set for twelve weeks, with only 36 contact hours, compared to the sixteen weeks and 110 contact hours that students are used to in high school. Professors are often responsible for large classes and simply don't have the time to go over the basics. It's not surprising that mental health issues often arise during this period.

That's where CaST-TP comes in. Our one-year transition program is specifically designed to bridge the gap between high school and university. We introduce students to effective learning strategies for higher education, offer courses with university-level requirements, and provide commonly used assessment forms and learning experiences, all without the stress and pressure of first-year classes.

Furthermore, our program allows students to earn additional credits as a grade 13, giving them the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge of advanced topics, secure prerequisites, and even explore new subjects for fun. With CaST-TP, students can feel confident and prepared to tackle the challenges of university life. Don't let the transition from high school to university be a source of stress and anxiety. Join CaST-TP and embark on a journey of academic success and personal growth.

Making Up for Lost Learning During COVID

The COVID pandemic brought about unprecedented challenges in education, with the shift to online learning creating major obstacles for high school students finishing between 2021 and 2025. Many students missed out on crucial content, educational opportunities, and social interactions, leading to uneven learning outcomes, with those facing learning disabilities being hit the hardest.

As a result, many students are finishing high school without the necessary skills and know-how to take control of their education. This lag is expected to have a negative impact on their post-secondary studies, and universities across the country are already feeling the effects.

Fortunately, CaST-TP is here to bridge the gap. Our program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge they may have missed during the pandemic, ensuring they are fully prepared for post-secondary education. We offer university-style courses, upper-year high school courses to improve transcripts or meet requirements, and most importantly, we empower students to take charge of their education with confidence.

At CaST-TP, we understand the challenges facing high school graduates today, and we're committed to helping them succeed. Let us help you achieve your academic goals and pave the way to a bright future. Join CaST-TP today and take control of your education!
